Renewing interior spaces
Thoughtful redesign of our most frequently used spaces will strengthen hospitality, accessibility, and connection. As our congregation continues to grow, both staff and members need environments that intentionally support relationship-building and pastoral care. Rather than building a new wing for our church staff, as proposed in the feasibility phase, we will:
Relocate the Children’s Church room to bring it closer to the Sanctuary
Relocate the Family Lounge and Shared Work Space and update interiors
Relocate and reconfigure Ben Dorr’s office and add a dedicated administrative office and vestibule
Update the Youth Suite to reflect the growth of WPCYG and redesign the Friendship Court and Entrance Pavilion to ensure hospitality and functionality of those much-used entrances and gathering spaces
Update almost every restroom on our campus

WPC Kids & their Families
DEEPEN A WELL FOR
WPC Kids is growing. We are experiencing growth not only in the Weekday School, but also in our Sunday nursery, Children’s Church, and our after-school ‘It’s Elementary’ program. Both the Nursery, which welcomed 86 infants and toddlers on Easter morning in 2026, and the Weekday School feed into the larger life of the church. When children feel treasured they are excited to come to Westminster year-after-year. Parents respond to that energy, and become some of our most engaged members.
Our present nursery, which is shared with the Weekday School, is one of the most-used spaces on our campus. It is also one of hte oldest. The ‘Mezzanine,’ which overlooks Westminster Drive, is the first space many families encounter. It is critical that the space is not only welcoming, but also safe and accessible. By adding a second floor to the Mezzanine and updating existing rooms, we will be able to welcome more families and support existing ministries throughout the week.

Creating a Chapel
For decades, our congregation has dreamed of a chapel — a space for quiet prayer, intimate worship, weddings, funerals, and moments when closeness matters.
The chapel will be adjacent to the Fellowship Hall and will include dedicated exterior and interior entrances. While we will reduce the footprint of the Fellowship Hall, there will not be an impact on programs that use that space. Interior designs for the chapel are forthcoming.
The chapel will honor life’s most sacred moments and offer a space where hearts can rest and listen for God’s call.

Tithing our campaign to mission & outreach partners
From the very beginning, Westminster has believed that generosity flows outward. Through past capital campaigns, we have put our gifts to work in service to our neighbors — supporting literacy and emergency needs, providing housing for vulnerable members of our community, and contributing to a stronger Greenville for all.
As in the past, 10% of all funds collected through the Deepening Wells campaign will be tithed to a Witness & Service partner(s), ensuring that as we strengthen our campus we continue to love our neighbors beyond it.
The Session has tasked Witness & Service with identifying the partner(s) for our tithe. The Session will review and vote on Witness & Service’s recommendation.
